My VA Dream

To fulfill my dream of having my own blog about my Virtual Assistance life is such a beautiful feeling for me. I can express myself and share my feelings of having to work at the comfort of your own home and enjoying the freedom of time it gives to me. From doing surveys-enumeration to a far reach places as the first job I have done. My lines of works were varied being a PCOS Technician during the First Automated Election in the Philippines and lastly a Technical Writer to Caraga- LSPN for International Labour Organization. Last September 2011 my job contract have just ended and I have no work so I started looking for new opportunities. I have decided to give a try on Online Job Opportunities, because ever since last year I have already registered in Odesk but haven't made my profile and take exams that are necessary in Odesk. I have decided to update my profile on that site, took exams and most importantly, the Odesk readiness test. The search for jobs everyday was not really easy for me at that time since I have no feedback and recommendations yet on that site. For you to be able to be contacted more often most probably the employers look for feedback and recommendations on your profile. I almost give-up looking for job because the opportunity was too elusive since there are many applicants with great backgrounds, feedback and recommendations. But I prayed for strength from God that He will give the courage to continue looking for opportunity. And after 1 month of applying for job I have been notified that I have been invited for an interview and the feeling was just so heartwarming. I didn't expected to be interviewed since we are about 60 applicants and there are many contractors that looks fit for the position. I felt honored to be chosen as one of the contractors who successfully got the job. I even asked the Hiring Manager what made her decide to chose us. It was just an answered prayer for me since I am really looking for a full time job that could help my family's finances. I am thankful of my first full time online opportunity. The experienced paved the way for more online opportunities. I am thankful of the people I have worked with especially to Ms. Sheena Macatol, Ms. Lelybeth Cagulada, Sam Shaikh and Mr. Dai Murata.
